EFM – Ethernet First Mile
is a service delivered over a bundled copper connection, the service typically delivers speeds of between 4mbps – 20mbps but has fluctuations in speed dependant on the distance from the exchange and the quality of the copper. Whilst it is cheaper, the speed is not guaranteed and therefore an allowance needs to be factored in to the prescribed service delivered to your business.
EOC – Ethernet Over Copper

EOC is slightly more expensive for this guarantee on the delivered speed, but allows businesses looking to work with specific cloud based application or hosted desktop and telephony solutions to do so with confidence and assurance that the service specifications are up to the job.
